CALL FOR PAPERS - 14th COTA International Conference of Transportation Professionals (CICTP2014) - Abstract Submission Deadline: Oct. 10, 2013.
The 14th COTA International Conference of Transportation Professionals (CICTP2014) will be held July 4-7, 2014,
in Changsha, China. The CICTP2014 is jointly organized by Central South University, Chinese Overseas Transportation
Association (COTA). The CICTP proceedings will be published by Elsevier, and all the proceedings papers will be
indexed via the EI Compendex, which can be accessed worldwide.
The online abstract submission opens via the CICTP2014 conference website at http://cictp.csu.edu.cn. The abstract, no
more than 300 word, must be written in English and include the paper title, the names of authors and their affiliations as
well as no more than five keywords.

There will be a limited number of CICTP2014 Travel and Publication Fellowships granted on a competitive basis to
overseas authors. The awardees are still responsible for their international and domestic travel costs. The acceptance of
papers does not guarantee the award of these fellowships.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS - The 17th COTA Annual Winter Symposium - Abstract Submission Deadline: December 9, 2013.
The 17th COTA Annual Winter Symposium will discuss critical issues in technology development and application, research and education that promote safe, sustainable, efficient, and equitable transportation development in response to the rapid urbanization. The Symposium is aimed to provide a forum for transportation professionals from different countries and regions to share their research results, project experiences, and lessons learned. Researchers, educators, practitioners, government officials are encouraged to participate in the Symposium.
Presentation abstracts are limited to one page and must include title and speaker information (name, affiliation, mailing address, email, phone, and fax). Session proposals should be limited to two pages including session themes and speakers. Abstracts and proposals should be written in English.

Improving Management of Transportation Information
TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Report 754: Improving Management of Transportation Information is a selective review of practices of state departments of transportation (DOTs) and other agencies that collect, store, and use transportation data and information. The report also includes potential guidance on strategies and actions a DOT might implement to help improve information capture, preservation, search, retrieval, and governance.
